Hi. I’m Pumpkin.
I like knowing what today is going to feel like. I like mornings that start the same way and evenings that end quietly. When things are predictable, my body can relax and my heart can open.
I watch before I leap. New people and new places don’t scare me — I just need a moment to understand them. Once I do, I love deeply and with my whole self. I’m the kind of dog who picks you and stays close.
I’m very polite. I wait my turn. I listen. I don’t rush into things, because I don’t have to. When the world is calm, I’m at my best — gentle, affectionate, and happy to curl up in your lap and stay there.
I like other dogs, especially when everyone is respectful. What I don’t love is noise, chaos, or surprises. They make the world feel loud and hard to read. Quiet voices, kind hands, and steady routines help me feel safe.
I’m looking for a home without kids, with someone who’s around most of the time. A person who enjoys a slower pace, familiar days, and soft moments. If you’re calm and consistent, I’ll give you loyalty, patience, and a very warm lap.
I don’t need much.
Just peace, kindness, and you.

Meet Ms. Sassy Pants

She is a 12-Year-Old Black Chihuahua | Female | Spayed | ~10 lbs (with a few to spare).
Her world turned upside down when her beloved owner passed away. Thankfully, kind neighbors reached out to DCS, and we were able to step in — saving her from going to a shelter, which would have shattered her world. She’s been loved and well cared for her whole life, and now she’s looking for someone new to love just as fiercely.
 Ms. Sassy Pants is crate and leash trained and her bathroom etiquette on point — furniture and floors remain unscathed.
If you can appreciate a dog with opinions, confidence, and comedic timing, Ms. Sassy Pants is your girl!

Gentle, affectionate, and full of puppy charm, he’s perfect for someone who wants a tiny companion with a big heart. This guy thrives when he has a playmate — ideally, another playful dog or even one of his siblings, who could be adopted alongside him!

Mr. Bean is a 9-year-old Dachshund with a huge heart!
Mr. Bean is incredibly sensitive and well-behaved.
He’s also a little entertainer! He knows fun tricks like “play dead” and others that always make people smile. But his favorite thing of all is curling up in your lap or by your side and just being part of your day. He’s not demanding — just deeply devoted.
This little guy has waited long enough. If you have a cozy couch, a gentle heart, and space in your day for a devoted companion, Mr. Bean will fill your life with joy!
